Michael Hegeman
Founder

Michael Hegeman founded OpenCenter Fellowship with the vision of building an international Christian community where people can grow in faith, discover the practical wisdom of the teachings of Jesus, and establish welcoming House Fellowships in communities around the world.

We believe that leadership is first and foremost a calling to serve others with humility, compassion, integrity, and love. It is not a position of status, but an opportunity to encourage others, strengthen communities, and help people grow spiritually.

As OpenCenter Fellowship grows, we hope to develop a diverse team of volunteer leaders who will serve both the wider fellowship and local House Fellowships. Every person has unique gifts that can contribute to the life of the community, whether through teaching, pastoral care, worship, prayer, hospitality, administration, community outreach, or leading local gatherings.

We believe healthy leadership develops over time through faithfulness, spiritual maturity, and a willingness to serve. As the fellowship grows, we hope to see new leaders emerge from within the community—people whose character, commitment, and heart for serving others naturally prepare them for greater responsibility.

If you share the vision of OpenCenter Fellowship and feel called to serve, we would be delighted to hear from you. Whether your passion is supporting the wider fellowship, serving in your local community, or establishing a House Fellowship where you live, we invite you to get in touch through our Contact page.

Together, we hope to build a global network of welcoming Christian communities centred on the teachings of Jesus, where people are encouraged to grow in faith, serve one another, and share the love of Christ with the world.
